AST design and manufacture a range of superglue cabinets for fuming with cyanoacrylate vapour for developing
quality latent fingerprints under controlled environmental conditions. The SAFE-FUME fingerprint chamber protects
laboratory workers from hazardous cyanoacrylate fumes. These cabinets are the widely accepted method of finger
print development on non-porous surfaces using ethyl cyanoacrylate (CNA) that is often referred to as ‘super glue’.
These chambers offer full automation by control and monitoring of the fuming process cycle.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The process cycle is fully automatic so that developing latent finger prints is easy.
Super-glue is placed inside the chamber with the evidence easily positioned on
shelves or from the hanging rods. The fuming cycle button is pressed and the cycle
is then automatic. The system then takes control of the hot plate, Humidity, door
lock, internal circulation fan and purge at the end of the fumigation cycle. At the
end of the cycle the large capacity carbon filter removes all excess fumes; no
external venting is required. The user is alerted when the main filter needs changing.

EASY TO USE TOUCH CONTROLS
Soft-touch screen technology displays all parameters of the automated processing cycle.
When needed the user can easily adjust any of the control parameters simply by touching the display screen.
Display features include: Hot plate, Humidity, Temperature, Circulation fan, Cycle time, Lights, Door
position with lock alarm, carbon filter condition, purge cycle with emergency stop.
EFFICIENT AND ECONOMIC
All of the fingerprint chambers in the range are energy-saving. Contaminated air is not exhausted outside the building.
It is cleaned using carbon filters and then re-circulated back into the laboratory
