Subject : important product feature confirmation after test in Germany
All of the warming devices manufactured by GVP Elettronica
are based on the proprietary GVPITECH technology, which is
the outcome of more than 10 years of dedicated research and
development. Periodically we get customers recognitions
about the ease of use and the tangible advantages we bring
to day-by-day life in hospitals and rescue centres.
Recently we were officially invited to run a test in Germany, at
the Klinikum Frankfurt (Oder):thisbighospital (853 beds)
needs to find patient warming systems to be used in any department, includingCT scanning. The challenge was to verify the true radiolucency of TRM MED P, which they identified as the best version within our portfolio according to their specific needs.
Previous tests with competitors' devices (electric blankets/mattresses) were already made, and the outcome was tangibly not satisfactory (too many artifacts due to internal construction not really radiolucent). Because their CT equipment provides a very detailed diagnostic report, they require a true radiolucent device. They are not interested in forced air systems, because the mattresses, the hot air generator and the related hose are too cumbersome. The test was run on Thur. 17 , 2009 ; the CT equipment was a Siemens Sensation 64, able to provide up to 64 slices per rotation with previously unknown sharpness and diagnostic detail.
